March with Bend the Arc in the San Francisco Pride Parade

June 30, 2013 - 10:00am
Spear Street between Mission Street and Howard Street
San Francisco , CA

We are very excited to invite you to join Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice, along with progressive Jews from all over the Bay Area, as we march in the LGBT Pride Parade in San Francisco on Sunday, June 30. We will meet up at location G which is on Spear Street between Mission Street and Howard Street (closest BART station is Embarcadero).

2013 is a momentous year for civil rights, with the recent marriage equality decisions on DOMA and Proposition 8 from the Supreme Court in June, and immigration reform on the line. The Bay Area Jewish community has shown tremendous support for LGBTQ freedom and equality, and the Pride parade is a terrific opportunity to highlight and build on that support, moving us to take action as Jews in the weeks and years ahead.

Bend the Arc's focus is domestic economic and racial justice. All in support of that focus, and particularly LGBTQ freedom and equality, and wanting to be part of a Jewish-themed contingent, are welcome to join. To maintain that focus, signs and banners will not feature organizations other than Bend the Arc. Handmade signs in harmony with the domestic and non-organizational focus are welcome. Please join us the evening of June 26 for a sign-making party.
Please RSVP to walk with us in the parade online at so we know to expect you.
