Be there at the start!
Come be a part of building a burgeoning nationwide movement that is seeking to transform the way that caregiving works in this country. At the Southern California Care Congress on Sunday, May 6th, we are launching an exciting campaign called Caring Across Generations.
We are responding to the “age wave,” the growing population of Americans 65 and over, and the increasing need for high quality long-term care. The issue of care affects all of us – whether directly as a caregiver, a recipient, or through a loved one. This campaign is bringing together communities that have never worked together before – caregivers and domestic workers, people with disabilities and seniors, students, immigrants, people of faith and many other allies.
As this movement grows, we want to make sure the Jewish community has a strong presence from the beginning. Join us for this exciting effort to make change in our community. We have the potential to make a long-lasting impact, and this is why we want you to participate.
With Bend the Arc playing a leadership role in the campaign on the national level and through our work in Southern California for domestic workers rights, this is the perfect opportunity to build our collective power as a strong national organization rooted in grassroots regional action.
Together we have already gathered over 1,000 comments for the Department of Labor rule change to grant a minimum wage and overtime protections to caregivers. Now this is our chance to build on that momentum and achieve long-lasting change for care workers.
