Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice is proud to be selected in the 2017 Slingshot Guide, and thrilled to be part of the amazing community of the hundreds of innovative Jewish organizations included in the Guide over the past eleven years who continue to create positive change in the Jewish community.
The decision for Bend the Arc leaders in California was unanimous: Money bail reform is the criminal justice issue we are bringing our collective energy and organizing to now.
This week, Los Angeles City voters passed Charter Amendment C, a dangerous ballot measure that weakens police accountability in our city. Though the police union succeeded in passing Amendment C, we are proud to have stood with Black Lives Matter LA, the ACLU of Southern California, and the rest of the #NoOnC coalition to educate and mobilize the Jewish community in support of justice for victims of police violence.
Jewish Angelenos have the opportunity next Tuesday to defeat Amendment C here in LA — a measure on the ballot in our city election that has the potential to weaken accountability for the LAPD, and to deny justice for victims of police violence.
Bend the Arc: New York leaders organized for a year to bring the Jewish community to the fight for juvenile justice. Now it's time to celebrate at two upcoming events where we’ll look ahead to what’s next for our chapter and strengthen our skills.
