Progressive faith voices will soon have a new tool to directly lobby Congress and the administration with the launch of a new Washington office and PAC aimed at increasing the Jewish community’s role in the domestic policy debate.
On Wednesday, July 18, 2012, members of Congress, faith leaders and numerous community and national partners will gather in room SVC 209-08 in the Capitol Visitors Center to mark the launch of Bend the Arc Jewish Action and Bend the Arc Jewish Action PAC, a project of Bend the Arc: a Jewish Partnership for Justice (BendtheArc.us). Bend the Arc is the nation’s leading progressive Jewish voice dedicated to mobilizing Jewish Americans to advocate for the nation’s most vulnerable. The launch is open to media and coverage is welcome. Photo, video and interview opportunities will be available.
Bend the Arc: a Jewish Partnership for Justice is launching the Washington office and PAC to cultivate a new approach to faith based activism and will organize bold actions in Washington and across the country to draw attention to the most vulnerable and create justice and opportunity for all. Bend the Arc Jewish Action’s first campaign will mobilize Jewish voices for fair taxes. Details will be unveiled at Wednesday’s launch.
