Bend the Arc’s Community Organizing Residency builds relationships between organizers of different faiths in a nation that appears increasingly fractured. As the fifth cohort of the program came to a close, one resident reflected, “I gained so much insight connecting with people both in and outside my faith tradition, my city, my race, and my gender. We held over 100 meetings in Congressional offices, focusing on the critical issues of our day: restoring voting rights, criminal justice reform, asking for the Senate to hold confirmation hearings to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court, and outlawing religious-based discrimination in immigration.

Day 2: Moved to Tears, Called to Action
