MAKE IT FAIR Summer Send Off

Join Bend the Arc Southern California and partnering organizations as we celebrate a summer of community action and education surrounding the MAKE IT FAIR campaign.

- Learn how corporate tax loopholes that stem from Prop 13 have damaged our schools, public services and affordable housing.
- Found out what you can do to move our reform efforts to the next level.
- Meet fellow community members and policymakers working hard to rebuild California and close commercial property tax loopholes.

Register New Citizens to Vote

Nationally, Bend the Arc is working towards fixing Voting Rights and passing Comprehensive Immigration Reform. As a way to connect the two issues locally, we are registering new citizens to vote moments after they take the oath of citizenship to the United States. Bend the Arc began this effort in June 2014, and it was a deeply inspiring experience. We are now doing this every month through 2015. Being someone’s first point of civic engagement is incredibly powerful.

Prop 47: Yes We Canvass

Proposition 47 passed on November 4th, striking a blow to unjust sentencing laws and detrimental budgetary priorities in California. Bend the Arc is proud to have played an important role in the diverse coalition that worked together to win this huge victory in the fight to end mass incarceration.
