1619 Project — Discussion group with Jewish Ohioans

Description

Have you heard of the 1619 Project? It is a collection of writings that contextualizes the country's history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the very center of our national narrative.

We are joining our friends at Adath Israel Congregation and so many others to explore the 1619 Project through a Jewish lens! This is a 6 part series: March 12 & 26, April 9, May 14 & 28, June 11, from 7:30-9:00PM.

We will be meeting in-person in Cincinnati and also over Zoom! RSVP for more details.

Octavia E. Butler, a legendary science fiction author, said, "To survive, let the past teach you." We hope that discussions like these can help us as we take collective action today and tomorrow!
