On Friday, March 15, at least one gunman killed 49 people and wounded more than 40 during Friday prayers at two New Zealand mosques in the country's worst ever mass shooting, which Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern condemned as terrorism.
Butler University's Muslim Student Association and the Muslim Alliance of Indiana is holding this vigil to honor the victims of this tragic event. Our goal is to raise awareness that bigotry and hatred are still forces which threaten the well-being of our communities today.
