Tell the ADL: Don’t Defend Elon Musk’s Nazi Salute

ADD YOUR NAME

Moments after Trump was inaugurated, Elon Musk performed back-to-back Nazi salutes on stage.

In response to his Sieg Heils, the ADL shockingly said it was just an "awkward gesture" and asked people to give him "the benefit of the doubt."

Musk didn’t perform the salute in a vacuum — he did so moments after Trump announced a series of authoritarian executive orders.

Musk has a track record of using antisemitism to spread fear and division, including expressing support for Germany’s far-right party and promoting the “great replacement theory” — both of which the ADL has declared antisemitic.1,2 And he’s turned Twitter into X, the world’s largest mainstream platform where white supremacist ideology is promoted and its leaders are paid and verified.3

The ADL claims to be an expert on antisemitism. They are quick to defame pro-Palestinian students, Black and brown elected officials, writers and professors over accusations of antisemitism. But when the world’s wealthiest man performed a Nazi salute while the world watched, they came to his defense?

In a time when our democratic institutions are under attack by the Trump administration, our civil institutions must defend us even more, not white supremacists.

Add your name to the petition to demand the ADL and its CEO Jonathan Greenblatt retract their defense of Elon Musk’s Nazi salute.
