New York – Following reports of bomb threats directed at more than 30 Jewish centers, as well as other violent threats against Jewish organizations and individuals across the country, Stosh Cotler, CEO of Bend the Arc Jewish Action, released the following statement:

“The hatred and violence that President-elect Trump inspired and encouraged during his presidential campaign continues unabated. While the FBI has begun to investigate this round of bomb threats, time and again, President-elect Trump has failed to condemn or even acknowledge these ongoing acts of intimidation against Jewish institutions and individuals and those directed against the targets of his campaign rhetoric, including Muslims, immigrants, women and people of color. Silence as Americans are violently intimidated because of their religious and political beliefs is not an acceptable response from someone who will soon be the leader of our nation.

“We call on President-elect Trump to make it clear to all Americans in his inaugural address that these vicious threats are unacceptable.  He should swiftly and vigorously denounce these menacing acts and take them as seriously as the FBI does. Bend the Arc Jewish Action will continue to speak out against this escalating violence toward our fellow Jews and stand with all those who feel threatened by the incoming Trump administration.”
