Bend the Arc: We must reject attempts to tear us apart with distrust and fear
We cannot be silent about attacks on our Jewish, Muslim, and Arab communities

Bend the Arc: Jewish Action believes that every person – no matter our religion, where we come from, or what we look like – deserves to live with freedom, safety and belonging. We know that freedom and safety for any of us depends on the freedom and safety of all of us.

Our main focus has always been to unite American Jews around domestic issues that make our country a more just and caring society where everyone can thrive. Because of our domestic focus, we do not comment on international issues and are continuing that focus now.

At the same time, in recent weeks we’ve seen an increase in violent attacks on Jews in the United States. We’ve seen white nationalists exploiting the Israel-Gaza conflict to spread antisemitism. We’ve seen the right using bad-faith accusations of antisemitism to spread anti-Muslim bigotry. We cannot be silent about these attacks on our Jewish, Muslim, and Arab communities – we must reject attempts to tear us apart with distrust and fear.

Rejecting antisemitism, Islamophobia, racism, and xenophobia — oppressions that work together to threaten our communities and jeopardize our democracy — is the only path forward for a nation that reflects our democratic values.
