Bend the Arc: Jewish Action California proudly supports the VISION Act and the Racial Justice Act for All. These two bills will significantly advance transformative justice for incarcerated people:
- The VISION Act would stop transfers of our immigrant neighbors from prisons and jails to ICE, a cruel double punishment only because of where they were born.
- The Racial Justice Act for All would extend protections allowing people charged with or convicted of a crime to challenge racial bias in their case.
Both bills are currently stuck in the Senate Appropriations Committee. Email Committee Chair Anthony Portantino now to urge him to support both acts.
