Description
Saturday morning, a gunman walked into the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA during Shabbat services and opened fire, killing and injuring many.
Sunday evening, our DC Jewish community will gather at 5 pm for a minyan (Jewish prayer service) in love and support for the survivors of the shooting and to build strength and Jewish community in the wake of this tragic act of anti-semitism.
This minyan will be cosponsored by IfNotNow DC and the New Synagogue Project and be followed by a Solidarity Vigil for Victims of Antisemitism & Racism led by Jewish Voice for Peace - DC Metro and Justice for Muslims Collective. The minyan and following vigil will be open to people of all faiths, races, genders and other identities.
