The GOP of Matt Gaetz and Marco Rubio have targeted LGBTQ+ people, banned books, terminated a democratically elected prosecutor, and are moving to ban abortions after toppling Roe v. Wade. DeSantis-style attacks like these are most harmful to Black and Brown people, queer and trans people, pregnant people, and poor and working-class communities — and we refuse to be silent.
Either we have democracy for everyone, or we have no democracy at all. That’s why we’re taking action with our friends at Florida Rising, a people-powered organization made up of members advancing economic and racial justice across Florida. They’re experts at organizing multiracial movements to win elections, change laws, and create a state where everyone can be safe, happy, healthy and whole.
