Sign the card: To a sweet new year for all Long Islanders

Dear County Executive Laura Curran,

During the Jewish high holidays, as we yearn and commit to acting for increased justice, we’re calling on you to stand with Long Island immigrants by ending Nassau County’s collaboration with ICE and removing ICE from the Nassau County Correctional Center.

L’shana tova u’metuka — to a good, sweet, and just new year for everyone who calls Nassau County home.

During the Jewish high holidays — a time when we reflect on brokenness and rededicate ourselves to justice in the new year — we cannot ignore the heightened fear that immigrant communities face as the Trump Administration advances its inhumane agenda.

This year, we remember that immigrants do not only face danger and cruelty at the border — they experience it right here on Long Island too.

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran can protect immigrant communities right now by ending Nassau County’s collaboration with ICE and closing the ICE office at the Nassau County Correctional Center.

We are uniting our voices as a Jewish community in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors because we know we will only truly experience a sweet and just new year when all residents of Nassau County can live with safety and dignity.

Add your name to the holiday card to Laura Curran urging her to usher in the new year by ending Nassau County’s collaboration with ICE.
