Description
Right now, our country is facing an ongoing moral crisis in how we treat immigrants. At the same time, we have a chance to win permanent protections for millions of undocumented immigrants and push Democrats in Congress to deliver on the promise of a pathway to citizenship.
Bend the Arc leaders across the country are gathering online for a special immigrant justice campaign call to learn in community together and to take action. On the call, you’ll hear from Black immigrant justice experts, including:
- Haddy Gassama, Esq., Legislative Manager, We Are Home Campaign; Policy and Advocacy Director, UndocuBlack Network
- Breanne J. Palmer, Esq., Interim Policy & Advocacy Director, UndocuBlack Network
- Peniel Ibe, Policy Engagement Coordinator, American Friends Service Committee; co-chair of the Interfaith Immigration Coalition
- Graie Hagans, Vision Praxis Director, Bend the Arc
Together, we’ll discuss how the U.S. immigration system has been shaped by white supremacy and anti-Blackness, how anti-Black racism shows up in multiracial immigrant rights work, and what people can do right now to secure a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants and build a more humane, anti-racist immigration system.
RSVP to join Bend the Arc, our movement partners, and people across the country on Thursday, September 30 at 8 PM ET / 5PM PT.
