This May is an incredibly important primary election in PA. There are three questions on the ballot that will amend the constitution in our state — and two of them would give Republicans control of disaster and emergency response in our state. This is a power grab by the Republican-dominated General Assembly to attempt to reduce the Democratic Governor’s ability to act in an emergency. Because it’s an off-election year, we know Republicans are counting on low voter turnout to let these measures slide through. We can’t let that happen.
