We are organizing alongside our partners at Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP) to pass two crucial parole justice bills in the New York state legislature: Elder Parole (S454/A514) and Fair & Timely Parole (S159/A127), because our Jewish values teach us that everyone deserves teshuvah, forgiveness and return, instead of endless punishment. Passing these bills would promote case-by-case consideration for release based on personal transformation and would expand parole eligibility for older New Yorkers who pose no harm to our communities. Both bills had majority support in the Legislature in 2024, and now is the time to act!
