Email your Legislators: Protect Free Speech, Reject S1292/A3558

The New Jersey Assembly is trying to pass S1292/A3558, a bill that would codify a dangerous definition of antisemitism into law.

As American Jews and allies, we understand the need for a robust response to combat antisemitism. However, we reject the New Jersey legislatures attempts to pass S1292/A3558 and codify the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism. We — and other Jewish organizations — believe that this specific definition undermines the fight to dismantle antisemitism and could actually endanger Jews and all of us by stifling free speech. The Trump administration is already using the facade of “fighting antisemitism” to enact a cruel, authoritarian agenda — and this would be another tool at their disposal.

Use this easy tool to email your legislators and demand that they say reject S1292/A3558.

Note: Our opposition claims that all Jews support this bill and that all those are opposed dont care about fighting antisemitism. We know that is not the case.
