Since February our world has been shaken by the global pandemic, and in May the death of George Floyd began a national reckoning with racism and systemic inequality. We have been listening, acting as individuals, and we have been trying to raise up BIPOC voices and communities. We feel strongly that educating ourselves while also working to fix the education system are two important ways to combat systemic racism.
Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Seattle invites you for an action hour with the goal of working towards equitable education for all K-12 students in the greater Seattle area.
What: Action Hour for Equity in Education
When: Monday, August 24, 7:00pm-8:30pm

We will spend some time learning time together about the issues and then take action by calling, emailing, texting, writing, posting and making a difference. Please come prepared with a phone, computer, pen and paper.
