Immigrant Solidarity Purim

Description

Purim is the holiday of the salvation of the Jewish people from the evil Haman by the actions of Esther. Esther was motivated to action by Mordechai's words: “And who knows, perhaps you have attained a royal position for just such a moment.” Mordecai was awakening Esther to the power she had, and could use, to the benefit of her people.

This Purim we will leverage our own privilege and position, to stand up for immigrants in America today. Join us for a study of the new United We Dream report to learn the truth about Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs & Border Protection (CBP). We will educate ourselves in an effort to shift the narrative around immigration, and to ensure that Congress commits to stopping the flow of money to these two rouge agencies.

This is a child-friendly event! There will be children's activities and Hamantashen for all!
