Bend the Arc is a movement of over 125,000 progressive Jews across the United States who are working together to achieve our vision: to transform our country to be inclusive, equitable, and supportive of the dignity of every person across race, class, gender and faith. Bend the Arc has recently adopted a new strategic plan to guide our work in the coming years. This plan is centered on our commitment to dismantling white supremacy and advancing Black liberation in our organization, in the Jewish community, and in the U.S. at large. We are seeking candidates who are ready to engage with a long-term organizational race equity transformation process at a historically majority white and Ashkenazi organization, as we strive to embody our racial equity commitments.
The Bend the Arc family of organizations consists of Bend the Arc: Jewish Action, our 501(c)(4) organizing and advocacy arm; Bend the Arc Jewish Action PAC, the first and only Jewish PAC to advocate exclusively for progressive policies in the U.S.; and Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice, our 501(c)(3) education and leadership arm.
Headquartered in New York City, we have remote staff nationwide with clusters in the Bay Area, Los Angeles and Washington DC, with a network of staffed chapters, volunteer-led local groups, and affiliates organizing nationwide.
Bend the Arc is seeking a passionate and creative digital strategist to join our team in mobilizing our multiracial Jewish community to free our country from white supremacy, antisemitism, and authoritarianism, and advance Black liberation. The Senior Digital Organizer will support national and local digital organizing, including issue advocacy and electoral campaigning; storytelling the work of local groups; promoting cultural, political, and educational programs; and pitching in for rapid response work.
The Senior Digital Organizer will be a member of the Communications team and report to the Digital Director. The role will work collaboratively with members of the Communications, Field, and Advocacy teams. The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to unite their skills and their values by growing a movement of American Jews rising up for Black liberation and the promise of multiracial democracy.

Here's what you'd do in the job:
- Generate ideas and develop digital strategies to help win national and local campaigns that dismantle white supremacy. Map arcs of action that mobilize our base, build support, and grow our power to win. Draft and edit advocacy pages, text blasts and p2p campaigns, social media content, and web pages with a strong theory of change at the center. Plus, coach staff organizers and local leaders on how they can use digital tools to support the work of our 20+ chapters.
- Spot opportunities to engage our supporters, grow our base, and move Jewish communities toward centering racial equity. Stay on top of breaking news, coalition developments, and the energy of our base to spot moments for digital action that contribute to impactful campaigns. Help create opportunities for digital action, engagement, and education that connect the dots between our issues, energize our online base, and bring in new audiences.
- Take an idea from a meeting to physical reality. Project manage the production of emails, advocacy tools, and website pages, including coordinating staff across teams for input and approvals, implement and test to ensure quality standards, and keep us on a timeline to meet our deadlines.
Turn data into strategy. Track, report, and help the team learn from data analytics on the performance of digital content. Propose tests and solutions to, for example, increase click and conversion rates on fundraising emails or reduce bounces on our website.
You could be great for this job if you have:
- 4+ years or more of relevant experience (professional experience, internship experience, and volunteer experience welcomed).
- Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and inclusion, commitment to anti-oppression practices and experience centering BIPOC people in a multi-racial organizing context.
- Experience creating digital arcs of engagement for an advocacy or electoral campaign, brand, or organization.
- Experience with content management system (CMS) and constituent relationship management (CRM) software, or comfort learning digital tools quickly. For example, you’ve updated a website, built an email blast, launched a text blast, and/or tracked open and click rates over time.
- Demonstrated success at keeping multiple projects organized; good short-and long-term planning skills; strong administrative and self-directed time-management skills; comfort working in a fast-paced campaign environment with unanticipated opportunities to advance Bend the Arc’s mission.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines with a commitment to quality.
- Familiarity and alignment with Bend the Arc’s mission and vision, and desire to work at a values-based organization with a high emphasis on intentional workplace culture.
- Ability to travel (when it’s COVID safe) and work some evenings and Sundays. Travel will be on a local and national level as needed. We hold at least one in-person staff retreat annually (when it’s COVID safe).
Essential Physical Tasks:

Compensation, Benefits and Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, exempt position, and is eligible for Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice's newly formed collective bargaining unit. The work schedule will include some evenings and weekends when needed and/or all-staff in-person retreats. The annual salary range is $63,000-72,000 commensurate with experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package:

Bend the Arc is working 100% remotely due to COVID, and does not currently have a hard date for returning to in-person work. We offer a stipend to facilitate remote work, if needed. We regularly update our policies for in-person gathering to reflect CDC guidelines and best practice.
