**Join Jews outside the San Francisco Immigration & Customs Enforcement offices (ICE) to stand in solidarity with the Bay Area's immigrant community. All are welcome.**
Last week, Jews from across the country gathered in Washington, DC for Let My People Stay, a historic Jewish civil disobedience in support of a clean #DreamActNOW, responding to the requests and powerful moral leadership of DACA-mented youth.
Inspired by this powerful action, Bay Area Jews and allies are gathering this Friday to express commitment to justice for immigrants.
The moment is urgent: the fight for Dreamers continues at least until February 8, as 122 Dreamers lose their status daily, with 16,000 DACA recipients having lost their status and protections.
Right here in the Bay Area, there are rumors that ICE is planning a large-scale immigration sweep to punish immigrant communities and California as a whole for its progressive policies. Immigrant communities are suffering from a climate of fear, separation, and isolation, leading to many missing school, work, medical appointments, and retreating from public life.
And in the wake of another short-term budget deal without a solution for protection for undocumented youth, it's more important than ever to stand with our immigrant neighbors.
As Jews, we've seen what happens when those in power scapegoat immigrant communities — and we refuse to be silent now. ALL are welcome to join us as we unequivocally say #LetMyPeopleStay and stand together.
