Pittsburgh Rally in Solidarity with Immigrants

Description

On Tuesday, January 30th at noon, Jewish activists led by Bend the Arc Jewish Action with support from Casa San Jose and the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement will rally outside the Department of Homeland Security building in solidarity with Pittsburgh’s immigrant community.

Noting that the recent agreement to end the brief government shutdown was based on a promise to hold a vote on the Dream Act, Bend the Arc: Pittsburgh is calling for a vote to provide Dreamers with legal status and to remove the threat of deportation.

Together we will send a clear message to those threatening the safety of immigrant communities: “Let My People Stay!”

We will gather at the corner of Hot Metal Street & Sidney Street and walk over to the DHS building at noon.

If you are driving, please plan on parking by 11:45 AM. The closest garage is Ingot Parking Garage (2775 S 28th Street), which is 0.3 mi away. There is also metered street parking on Carson Street at 28th Street.
