New video produced exclusively for Bend the Arc's nationwide anti-Trump campaign

WASHINGTON, DC – A new video released today by Bend the Arc Jewish Action enlists some powerful allies in the effort to get out the vote among millennials and defeat Donald Trump: their Jewish grandparents.

The video comes as both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton ramp up efforts to reach millennial voters – a key voting bloc in this election. In the video, concerned grandparents in the New York City area implore their grandchildren to stop Trump using powerful leverage: threats to haunt their Tinder profile and leak 'Game of Thrones' spoilers. It was produced exclusively for Bend the Arc Jewish Action's "We've Seen This Before" campaign, which works to mobilize Jewish voters across the country against Donald Trump's presidential candidacy. Bend the Arc Jewish Action's election-focused anti-Trump work is unique among progressive Jewish groups in the United States.

"We know that the millennial vote will be absolutely critical to defeat Donald Trump," said Stosh Cotler, CEO of Bend the Arc Jewish Action. "Jews of all ages oppose Trump's hateful, violent rhetoric. Now, we need to make sure that Jewish voters throughout the country are mobilized to reject his anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, anti-woman agenda on Election Day. The video is a lighthearted but genuine reminder of how much is at stake in this election."

The release of the video coincides with the expansion of Bend the Arc Jewish Action's anti-Trump campaign through a series of new initiatives. On Oct. 30-31, Bend the Arc Jewish Action is organizing 'Let My People GOTV,' which will organize Jews nationwide to travel to swing states and join existing strategic efforts to defeat Trump. During that crucial GOTV weekend, Bend the Arc Jewish Action will provide transportation and housing in these battleground states for progressive Jewish volunteers who want to make a difference in the election. It will also guide supporters looking to organize their own trips and provide scholarships for travel and lodging.

The new video builds on Bend the Arc Jewish Action's leadership in the Jewish community to combat the extremism and bigotry seen in this year's presidential race. In June, Bend the Arc Jewish Action organized a series of anti-Trump Vigils Against Violence in 50 cities. Bend the Arc Jewish Action also strongly denounced Trump's plan to start a government registry of Muslims last fall, launched a televised campaign, "Heard it Before," comparing anti-immigrant rhetoric in the presidential campaign to what Jewish immigrants faced a century ago, and called on the Trump campaign's chief Jewish supporter – the Republican Jewish Coalition – to rescind its endorsement. To date, 30,000 American Jews have signed petitions denouncing Trump and joined Bend the Arc Jewish Action's effort to defeat his campaign.
