The only real way to stop anti-Semitism is to confront and reject hate in all forms. That begins with making an important distinction between governments and ordinary people. What fuels division is often the rhetoric spread by political leaders, extremist organizations, and governments that benefit from keeping ordinary people divided and angry. Too often, fear and propaganda are used to pit communities against one another for political power, influence, or personal gain. If we truly want to end anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and all forms of hatred, we must recognize each other’s humanity first and refuse to allow political agendas or extremism to turn people against one another.
