The leaders of Bend the Arc’s Pittsburgh Moral Minyan and their allies literally interrupted Trump’s visit.

Our message is breaking through: The white nationalism of Trump and his enablers, in their rhetoric and policies, has led to violence against all our communities. They are increasingly being called out for it, and we won’t rest until we hold them accountable.

On Thursday, November 1st, at 3pm ET / 12pm PT we're hosting a special Facebook Live with Max Socol, our National Organizer, and Ginna Green, our Chief Strategy Officer, both of whom were in Pittsburgh.

Join us for "Stories from Pittsburgh & How We Fight White Nationalism."

After the 2016 election, Jewish leaders in Pittsburgh were some of the first to reach out to Bend the Arc. They were beside themselves with concern for the safety of others, particularly Latinx, Muslim, and Black communities — those who face violence every day.

Max helped them found Bend the Arc’s Pittsburgh Moral Minyan to channel the overwhelming energy of everyday Jewish people in Pittsburgh to help their neighbors.

In the past two years, this is just some of what Jewish people in Pittsburgh have done to fight for human dignity:

  • They marched more than 100 members of the Jewish community to their local ICE office to fight for the Dream Act
  • They held a 24 hour vigil in the rain at their Congressman's office to stop the repeal of the Affordable Care Act
  • They co-organized a bystander intervention and self-defense training with neighbors from the organized Muslim community
  • They marched to raise workers' wages

Max and Ginna will share stories from Bend the Arc’s Pittsburgh Moral Minyan and how they helped plan the protest that turned away Trump.

They'll also share what you can do to stop the spread of white nationalism between now and Election Day (6 days away) — our best opportunity to preserve our democracy and affirm our interdependence.
