Tonight is the start of Sukkot, a time to celebrate community and get to know our neighbors. Since ancient times, we’ve gathered in the sukkah — a place of shelter where resources are shared.
What if we expected our country to be like a sukkah? Open, welcoming, generous. A sukkat shalom, a sukkah of wholeness and safety.
In this election season, we have the opportunity to build towards that vision. We have three upcoming shifts where you can talk to undecided Jews and battleground state voters about defeating Trump and MAGA politicians, who wish our nation to be closed, uncaring, and cruel — the opposite of a sukkat shalom.

It has always been a radical act to live facing outward. Our ancestors gave us the blueprint: with our sukkot, we build the world we want to see! Where communities are safe together without fear, and abundance flourishes.
We make sure our neighbors have what they need, and our needs are met in turn.
It’s the same with phonebanking: we help our neighbors learn about candidates and make a plan to vote for our collective needs. In turn, we defeat the threat of MAGA fascism and win the chance to build the thriving democracy of our dreams.
Join us this week to call Jewish and battleground state voters for Kamala Harris.
May your Sukkot be zman simchateinu, the time of our joy.
