The violent killings of 50 Muslim worshippers in New Zealand demands a response. It is essential to let our Muslim neighbors know we care about them, understand their pain, and that they are not alone. After the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue murders, the Islamic community came forward quickly and generously to show their support of the Jewish community. Let’s do the same for them!
Rod Cardoza, the founder and executive director of Abrahamic Alliance has requested that Bend the Arc: South Bay partner with his organization in support of our Muslim neighbors.
We will gather this Friday afternoon at the time of afternoon prayers at the mosque in Mountain View to show solidarity and concern. We will remain outside with signs as the community members worship inside the mosque. Signs will be provided.
This is intended to be a quiet show of support. Others will assemble at other mosques in the South Bay.
