I would like to ask that you call Senator Perdue on Monday, February 5 to ask for his vote and his influence to urge a clean DREAM Act on the Senate floor.
One of the community leaders in the Bend the Arc conference call repeatedly mentioned Senator Perdue as one to target. I did not get clarification on why, but I did see a Facebook post of his that did mention the positive contributions of DACA recipients to the economy. I picked Monday, February 5 because it's before the February 8 Continuing Resolution deadline.
While our calls may fall on deaf ears, they may not. More importantly, your call is a Jewish action that unites our community. My goal is 10 people calling on Monday, February 5. If you don't like speaking to someone, leave a voicemail. Your voice still counts. Let me know if I can count you in!
