As the coronavirus surges anew, we find ourselves walking once again on a very narrow bridge. The teaching I’m turning to this week comes from Rebbe Nachman of Bretzlav: kol ha'olam kulo, gesher tzar me'od, v’haikar lo lefached clal — the whole world is a very narrow bridge, and the most important thing is to not let fear get in the way.
Bend the Arc exists to give Jews and allies a way to respond to the most pressing issues of our time, together in courage and hope — from confronting antisemitism and white supremacy to protecting our democracy and demanding rapid and just pandemic relief. In the coming year, Bend the Arc will continue to be on the frontlines, crossing the narrow bridge with you while never taking our eye off our vision of a country where everyone belongs.
In another year where the pandemic (and some politicians) tried to keep us apart, we succeeded in continuing to organize together across lines of race, faith, and class for a country that’s truly for all of us.
Thank you — and tens of thousands of Bend the Arc supporters — for walking with us on this path.
With gratitude,
Stosh Cotler, CEO
