New York – Following reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke repeatedly with the Russian ambassador to the United States during the 2016 campaign, despite his denials to the contrary during his confirmation hearings, Stosh Cotler, CEO of Bend the Arc Jewish Action, released the following statement:

“Jeff Sessions should resign immediately. The chief law enforcement officer of the United States ceded his authority and legitimacy when he blatantly lied to the Senate and thus cannot be trusted to enforce the law faithfully. If he fails to understand this and step down, Congress must take action to remove him.”
