Jamie Beran is the CEO of Bend the Arc’s family of organizations. In her more than 17 years at Bend the Arc, she has been instrumental in building an organization that embodies its values inside and out.
As CEO, Jamie has created a model of leadership based on collaboration, humility, and optimism. She has built an intentional and resilient organizational culture grounded in Bend the Arc’s commitment to dismantling antisemitism, building racial equity, and achieving Black liberation.
At this moment when the American Jewish stake in fighting authoritarianism could not be more clear or more urgent, Jamie is leading Bend the Arc to mobilize Jews to defend our communities and resist fascism. She is a national voice in the fight to end antisemitism and the equally important work of refusing to let our opponents use their alleged concern for Jewish safety to push policies and practices that supercharge their authoritarianism.
Jamie is an alumna of UJA Federation’s and Columbia Business School’s Institute for Jewish Executive Leadership, a graduate of The Rockwood Leadership Institute’s Art of Leadership Training, and a member of Advancing Women Professionals Social Justice Cohort. She holds a BA from Goucher College.
Prior to joining Bend the Arc, Jamie was the Leadership Development Director for Habonim Dror North America and the Camp Director of Camp Galil. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys playing games and watching movies with her two kids, exploring the hiking trails of New Jersey, and listening to way too many podcasts.
