AIPAC is targeting 130,000 Jewish Michiganders

October 30, 2026

The article of my dreams just came out about Bend the Arc’s work in Michigan!1

The largest progressive domestic-focused Jewish organization in the country is mobilizing volunteers to canvass for Democratic Senate nominee Dr. Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, not just to get out the vote, but to hold substantive conversations about Israel, Palestine, antisemitism, and safety.

I want to tell you firsthand: our conversations about AIPAC, Jewish safety, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, and what’s at stake are making a difference. And generous donations from people like you are helping us scale up these conversations in real time.

We have less than 120 hours left before polls close in Michigan. Can you rush a gift to help reach more Jewish voters and combat AIPAC’s dark money in Michigan’s make-or-break Senate race?

Training canvassers and talking to Jewish Michigan voters is some of the most vulnerable and impactful work of my career.

In my conversation with The American Prospect, I shared how connecting with Jewish voters on a deeper level is an antidote to the lies and fear spread by dark money groups like AIPAC.2

“People are very emotional at the doors,” Williams-Szenes said, and they’re genuinely scared. So is he, and saying so brings down the temperature of what can otherwise become a heated conversation, and thus provide an opening for a discussion.

Bend the Arc is investing in Michigan because Jewish voters deserve compassion, because our movements can’t afford to leave anybody behind, and because we need Abdul in Washington to defeat fascism.

G!d-willing, a week from today we will be celebrating a new chapter where Abdul has won, Democrats have recaptured the House and Senate, and Trump and MAGA have been thoroughly defeated at the polls. But we need your help to make it a reality. Please chip in with a last-minute donation to scale up our work reaching Jewish voters in Michigan.

Kein Yehi Ratzon. May it be so.

Shabbat shalom,

Eli Williams-Szenes headshotEli Williams-Szenes
