We're marching for May Day

April 22, 2025

Next in our immigration fight: All out for May Day and fighting the Republican budget.

I look forward to May Day each year. After a long winter, it’s a joy to march in the streets with my neighbors — chanting for immigrant rights, worker rights, LGBTQ rights, and more.

There are May Day events all over the country next week. You're invited to join Jews and allies to demonstrate unity, solidarity, and power on May 1st.

Find your local May Day event and RSVP here.

As we’re getting in the streets, Congress is shaping the next federal budget. Republicans want to use their majority to ram through MAGA policy priorities in a budget process called reconciliation.2,3

If they get their way we'll likely see increases in mass detention and deportation, funded by cuts to critical services like healthcare and food assistance.

Every member of Congress needs to hear from their constituents — demanding they reject all additional funding for Trump’s cruelty.

Take action: send a message to your members of Congress to say “Fund communities, not deportation!”

As Jews, we know that budgets are moral documents. Where we put our money is a reflection of our values and the world we seek to build. That’s why we are organizing to stop this Republican reconciliation budget proposal.

Whether you join us in the streets for May Day or take digital action to protect our communities, thank you for being part of the Jewish resistance.

In solidarity,
