On July 2, hundreds of people rallied in San Diego under the visionary leadership of Mijente to prevent Jeff Sessions from expanding Operation Streamline — the policy of conducting mass trials for migrants — to California.

Bend the Arc helped bring a group of Jewish leaders and rabbis to San Diego to support Mijente's bold vision and immigrant communities.

Together we made it clear: "We will not stay silent. We will not continue to allow them to separate our families. And we will organize, we will struggle, we will resist, and we will be victorious."

This story is not over. In response to this peaceful direct action, San Diego police charged 10 activists with multiple felonies and set bail above $50,000.
