Hear from Maya Berry & antisemitism experts next week

September 19, 2024

In under 24 hours, 2,000 Jews and allies signed the petition in solidarity with Maya Berry after the horrific anti-Muslim bigotry at the Senate hate crimes hearing this week.1

Next week, we’ll hear directly from Maya and other experts on how we practice safety in solidarity as Jews and allies. RSVP to save your spot for the virtual panel on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 6:30pm ET.

How We Fight Antisemitism Now:
A Panel on Safety, Solidarity, and Winning Our Future

Thursday, September 26, 6:30 - 8:00pm ET on Zoom

— featuring —

  • Ben Lorber & Shane Burley, authors of Safety Through Solidarity: A Radical Guide to Fighting Antisemitism
  • Maya Berry, Executive Director of the Arab American Institute
  • Rachèl Laforest, Chief Campaigns Officer at Bend the Arc

After being verbally berated by Republican Senator John Kennedy at the hate crimes hearing, Maya said, “It’s regrettable that as I sit here, I have experienced the very issue that we’re attempting to deal with today… [it's] an indication of the danger to our democratic institutions that we’re in now.”

Moments like this are a call to action, and we're rising to the occasion. The experts on the panel next week will address the urgency of organizing in solidarity to build a multiracial democracy where all our communities are safe and thriving.

At the event, you’ll hear stories about Jews and allies joining together across difference to fight antisemitism and all forms of oppression, strategies for building strong coalitions, what’s at stake as we head into November, and how we can take action together.

RSVP today for How We Fight Antisemitism Now: A Panel on Safety, Solidarity, and Winning Our Future, next week on Thursday, September 26.
