Peggy Flanagan just won her primary for Minnesota Senate and our team is ecstatic!
When she wins in November, Peggy will break new ground as our country’s first-ever Native American woman in the U.S. Senate, bringing decades of experience as a community organizer, leader, and legislator. Bend the Arc couldn’t be prouder to have endorsed her — and to now celebrate her win.
We want Peggy to know that our community of American Jews is cheering her on. Add your name to our mazel tov card for her.
We really will send Peggy this card, with all of our names on it! Add your name before Friday to make sure she hears from you before Shabbat.
Candidates like Peggy don’t come around every day: she is a bold progressive leader who is beloved by activists across Minnesota for her work pursuing justice and fighting bigotry.
Peggy is a lifelong organizer who understands what it takes to make real change, and she shares our Jewish values, like B’tzelem Elohim — the knowledge that all people are created in the divine image.
In Minnesota, she successfully pushed to raise the minimum wage for the first time in a decade, passed paid family and medical leave, and helped restore voting rights for formerly incarcerated Minnesotans.
When Peggy gets to the Senate, we’ll have a fighter at the highest levels of our government to help us pass these policies for all Americans.
Join all of us at Bend the Arc in congratulating Peggy on her big win, then take the next step to help grow our Jewish movement to win in November.
Onward,
Cara Kupferman
Assistant Director of Advocacy and Political Affairs
