Core Leader Skills Training: Storytelling

Description

*Automatic RSVPs for this event are no longer being accepted online - but we'd still love to have you attend if you're interested. Please contact Talia Jaffe at [email protected] for the link.*

In organizing, storytelling is one key tool for moving people to action. Join us on Sunday, June 12 at 10am PT/1pm ET to learn how to use stories as an organizing tactic. Together, we will discuss how to craft a personal story and a public narrative that connects with your audience and helps you build power to reach your goal. Participants will develop and practice their own personal story with coaching from experienced organizers and peers..

This training will be facilitated by Sophia Lanza-Weil (she/her/hers), who brings two decades of organizing experience that spans labor, community, interfaith, and electoral campaigns. A former Bend the Arc organizer, she is excited to support the national strategy in this guest-facilitator capacity. When Sophia isn't organizing, she creates theatre that's queer, political, and full of puppetry.

This training is part of our Core Leader Training Series, which also includes Strategic Campaigning and the Arc of Escalation (April 10), Partnerships (May 8th), and 1:1s (June 19).
