Our message to trans, nonbinary, and intersex youth today: we will not stop fighting.

We will not stop learning how to be better adversaries to those harming you. We will not stop using every tool we can to keep you safe and to build a world where you and your families are never used as objects to sow division, but as whole selves celebrated for your holiness.

When they go after children, they go after hope. They scrape from the ground our failings as a society and hand them to the next generation. Today, their Supreme Court quite literally went after the future and failed to protect families’ freedom to attain health care for trans youth.

The Supreme Court, dominated by Republican appointees, handed down a ruling that protects Tennessee’s law banning critical health care for our kids. We will not stop fighting for trans youth in Tennessee and other states with these harmful laws. They must be protected. SCOTUS’ ruling does not apply to states that still have these freedoms and don’t have these bans. These laws, and these young people, must be protected too.

Our message to those with us: if you don’t yet belong to an organized movement that builds people power, now is your moment. Join us, join our partners, and join the many organizations leading in this fight.
