Jews taking action to demand Signature Aviation: Drop ICE

This weekend, I helped lead an action of 45 Jews and allies outside the Signature Aviation offices at the Washington, DC airport. Together, we delivered our petition signed by thousands demanding: Signature Aviation, Drop ICE.

After we handed them our petition, sharing why we were there, they called the police on us — showing they care more about protecting their profits than about doing what’s right.

Just miles away from where we gathered, members of Congress are still debating funneling billions of dollars toward expanding immigrant detention, deportation, and enforcement operations, and Trump continues to enact his cruel, violent agenda on the world.

Our movement of Jews Against ICE is growing. Here’s how you can keep up the momentum this month in our fight to defeat fascism:

☎️ Join the next Jews Against ICE phonebank this Thursday, March 19, at 6:30pm ET. Together we’ll call Jewish constituents of critical senators in the fight over ICE funding and patch them through to deliver the message directly.

⛔ 👑 If it's in your Shabbat practice, join your neighbors in the streets at No Kings Day in your community on Saturday, March 28. In this season of liberation, our tradition has a clear message: No Pharaohs, No Kings.

ICE’s violence is held up by pillars of support, including the corporations who profit from the detention and deportation machine.

Pressure against Signature Aviation — and all corporations who collaborate with ICE — is growing.1

Massachusetts’ governor just sent a letter demanding that Signature end its role in facilitating deportation flights for ICE out of Hanscom Field airport. That’s huge.

“You have a choice to either continue profiting from ICE’s unlawful tactics that are depriving people of due process and separating parents from their children, or you can stand with the people and communities you say that you serve,” wrote Governor Maura Healey.2

This is how we rescue our democracy from authoritarian overreach: show up for our neighbors and create consequences for enablers of Trump’s cruelty.

☎️ Join us from anywhere this Thursday, March 19 at 6:30pm ET for the next Jews Against ICE phonebank — RSVP here.

My Jewish values and this political moment call me to organize to stop the kidnapping, caging, deportation, and murder of our neighbors. I’m grateful to be a Jew Against ICE with you.

In solidarity,
