I know this moment is complicated in our communities. I’ve been reflecting on how to simultaneously hold my excitement for the promise of a Harris/Walz administration — and our urgent need to defeat Trump — alongside my disappointment with some of the choices the campaign has made.
There’s room for all of that here. And even as we progressives may not agree with everything the Harris campaign has been doing, we’re keeping our eyes on the prize: we have to defeat Trump in order to continue building the future we dream of for ourselves and future generations.
In everything we do, we show up as Jews, led by our values and commitment to the shared future we’re building together — a future that’s free from antisemitism, where Black liberation is real, and all of us are truly safe and free. That’s why I’m a Jew for Kamala, and that’s why I hope you’ll join me and hundreds of other progressive Jews at the Jews for Kamala Virtual Rally on Sunday, Sept. 15. RSVP today to save your spot.
See you soon,
Rabbi Jason Kimelman-Block
Washington Director, Bend the Arc
